Cruises Atlantic Islands is a marketing and promotional association created in 1994 and formed by the Port Authorities of Madeira, Cabo Verde & Canary Islands. We offer twelve closely ports in eleven different islands in the Atlantic’s heart. APRAM manages Funchal in Madeira and Porto Santo port. The Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife manages two ports in Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Los Cristianos; Santa Cruz de La Palma in La Palma, San Sebastián de La Gomera in La Gomera and La Estaca in El Hierro. The Port Authority of Las Palmas manages the port of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura and Arrecife in Lanzarote. ENAPOR manages the port of Mindelo in Sao Vicente and the port of Praia in Santiago. We have been involved in several European projects to improve our port facilities and to promote our islands as cruise calls. In addition, we are also exhibitors at Seatrade Cruise Global, Seatrade Europe and Seatrade Cruise Med. Besides, we are involved in different networks to support the cruise industry.

Over a period of 20 years we have continuously increased our figures, from 286,000 cruise passengers in 1994 up to 2,800,000 in 2015. This growth is due to our outstanding situation in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean for crossings from Caribbean and South America to Mediterranean and North Europe; to explore the Northwest Africa coast; to sail from UK or West Mediterranean to Madeira, the Canaries and Africa; to combine Madeira & Canary Islands with the Moroccan coast and Cape Verde…

In winter time we offer the best weather in Europe in a secure and closely area. Our temperature swings between 17º C and 22ºC all year round.

Cruise passengers wake one day enjoying the magnificent golden sand beaches of Fuerteventura or Sâo Vicente and the next call, hiking in a quaternary forest in La Gomera or walking under a “levada” (waterfall) in Madeira, both in Biosphere Reserves; amazing volcanoes in Lanzarote (Timanfaya); World Heritage Sites in Tenerife (El Teide) and Santiago (Ciudad Velha)… Starlight destinations like La Palma, Geopark like El Hierro, colonial architecture in Gran Canaria… to sum up, and incredible experience for different guests, crew and cruise lines.
