The city of Palma de Mallorca will host for the second year the Cruise Excellence Awards Ceremony.
The city of Palma de Mallorca will host once more the Gala Ceremony of Cruise Excellence Awards, which will take place on the evening of February 19th at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art “ES BALUARD” under the patronage of the Balearic Islands Port Authority and 365 Palma Foundation. The event will bring together the leading senior executives of the main cruise companies, tour operators, shipping companies, port agents, Mediterranean destinations, travel agents, press, partners and other companies related to the cruise industry. The Cruise Excellence Awards recognizes the protagonists of this industry in 12 different categories. Award nominations are based on the results of a macro survey of cruise travellers that has been conducted since last October.
Other sponsors include Delivery Warehouse, Logitravel , Kontiki Travel, Perlart and the Partnership “Cruises in the Atlantic Islands” .
The Cruise Excellence Awards, whose first edition took place in 2008 are a brand and product of Cruises News MediaGroup , organizer of the International Cruise Summit in Madrid and editor of CruisesNews magazine .
Growing traffic
The promotion of Palma as a cruise destination is supported by the commitment of cruise companies and passengers. Thus, the port and the city of Palma in 2014 ended last year with the arrival of 1,336,512 cruise passengers and is forecasting a total of 1,528,917 for 2015 consolidating its leadership in Spain and the Mediterranean .
