Latest Addition of Award-Winning Carnival Adventures Series Reflects Further Investment in Learning Resources for the Trade Based on Travel Agent Feedback.
Carnival Cruise Lines is offering travel agents the opportunity to “virtually” race against one another on personal watercrafts while learning more about the cruise line’s on-board experiences, itineraries and more with the new “Wave Racer” game.
Part of the award-winning Carnival Adventures series of social learning games, “Wave Racer” is located within GoCCL.com, the line’s travel agent Internet portal. Carnival invested in the creation the game based on travel agent feedback, which indicated a preference for easily accessible and engaging learning resources such as Carnival Adventures.
With “Wave Racer,” gamers navigate ocean waves as they travel to different themed islands while answering questions about Carnival along their journey. Agents earn 300 credits for completing the game, which may be applied toward advancement in the line’s Carnival Passport learning management system.
“Our Carnival Adventures social learning games continue to be extremely popular with agents seeking a fun new way to learn more about the ‘Fun Ships’ and we’re continually investing in new games and features to keep the content fresh and exciting,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. “The games are fast-paced and fun, giving agents an on-the-go and in-between meetings way of quickly learning more about Carnival.”
Credits earned through Carnival Adventures games may be applied within Carnival Passport and converted into points within the line’s Travel Agent Rewards Program. Reward points may be redeemed toward a wide range of prizes including Carnival logo items, $50 and $100 Visa/MasterCard gift cards, iPads and flat screen TVs.
Carnival Passport is the line’s comprehensive learning management system that houses all of Carnival’s training and education activities in one easy-to-access area within GoCCL.com. With Carnival Passport, agents may select learning activities that best suit their particular educational needs while earning credits along the way. Travel professionals can earn credits within Carnival Passport by participating in tutorials, webinars, trade shows, seminars at sea and more.
